Tips for Getting the Best Use From Your Home Treadmill

Home Treadmill

As a longer life, new wannabe fitness enthusiasts, I've tried dozens of different exercise routines, equipment, gyms and classes. Over the years, I've learned what we know to be true: consistency is the key to success. And for me, the key to consistency is the convenience and ease of use.

Buying a mobile home was the best decision I ever made. It provides both ease of use and comfort needed to stay consistent with my routine and finally down the back, again exercise cycle.

I know what you think. You experienced this before. You see a great piece of equipment to buy, to meet and commissioning, and some days you are committed to making it work. After a few weeks, the novelty wears off and begins to gather dust in the corner under a pile of clothes.

However, the use of a treadmill at home is a great way to training. It remains one of the most popular teams in the purchase of home exercise because it is easy to use and provides a good cardiovascular workout. So it's an investment in your health that may be the key to achieving your fitness goals. Here are some simple tips to get the best use of their mobile home.

Do your research first

Consider your location and needs when comparison shopping.
Do you have a dedicated exercise room with lots of space or live treadmill in the corner of your bedroom? Do you want to move and / or store when not in use? Some treadmills fold and has wheels for ease of movement (Of course, the heavier equipment, heavy step moves independently of wheels). There are many size and many treadmills come with designs options "space saver".

Want to walk, run or jog? Are you a person high with a long stride? how much do you weigh?

This is important, the length of a treadmill bed and its maximum load capacity varies. The standard sizes of 55 inches and 60 inches, but some come in shorter or longer lengths. Tall people with long strides and brokers are often more comfortable with long belt treadmill.

What features do you want? What are the features that you will actually use?

Treadmills today have many very good features. The more features, usually the higher the price. If you are on a budget, consider the features that you will actually use. If you know you're going to walk at relatively low speeds and flat terrain, you need an expensive tilt bus up to 40%? Other things to consider:

You want a machine with lots of pre-programmed exercises for variety? If so, consider purchasing a treadmill that supports iFit.

In TV console, iPod connection or the ability to surf the Web while working? These things will certainly increase the cost of the machine, but if you do you use it more consistently, it's not worth it?

If you like to drink water during your workout, make sure that there is a water bottle holder included in the treadmill console. I made this mistake with my own machine. Always drink water throughout my training, and although I love my machine, which has a compartment deep enough to hold a bottle of water.

Situation

Although it may seem a good idea to put your treadmill in your garage or storage area basement where it can be accessed and is out of the way, it is probably a bad idea. I fixed my extra bedroom as an exercise room, according to my father, it makes you "want to exercise." To put his team in a dark and dingy room unattractive, cold (or hot), wet it is a recipe for failure.

Who would want to spend time there? Your training zone should be bright, well lit, visually stimulating and well located. By placing my gym in my extra bedroom, I get literally get out of bed in the morning, put on sneakers and jump on the treadmill in my pajamas.

Prepare your space. have fun.

If you like music, have a sound system to listen to your favorite tunes or make up new music. If watching TV is their favorite form of entertainment, it has a fairly large TV and centrally located so it is easy to hear and nice to see. Like to read? Although difficult to do while jogging or running, it is certainly possible while walking. Attracting even a view from a window can help reduce boredom during your workout.

Prepare your exercise space with the things you love and you look forward to spending time there.

Create a plan for success

I do not mean unrealistic expectations of rapid weight loss and running marathons (although the latter is certainly an admirable goal), but how it will work and when you work. Scheduling a specific time 3 or 4 times a week when you use your computer will help you achieve your goals.

Are you a morning person? Plan to get up to 30 or 45 minutes before and use the treadmill before jumping in the shower. Would you rather exercise in the evenings? Use My treadmill to relax and catch up on the local news before dinner time.

Start slowly if necessary and keep it simple. You can walk for 10, 15 or 20 minutes or jog for 5 or 10 minutes early. If you wake up 15 minutes late and you can not train for 30 minutes, then exercise for 15 minutes. Do not let the excuses that prevent achieving your fitness goals. The consistency is the most important factor for success.

With a little preparation, you can maintain an exercise routine successfully at home and make the most of your treadmill or other fitness equipment at home.
