Home fitness gyms can vary greatly in size, equipment (or a computer), and function. A home gym is simply a designated space for exercise. The 3 types of home gyms, as I noted are:
1. Home Fitness Gym Floor
Do you do yoga, aerobics, or when your body weight training is the only team? It is the space devoted to it? If you answered yes to both questions, you have a home gym floor at home.

A machine room is a space dedicated to the treadmill, elliptical, exercise bike, or a type of cardiovascular equipment similar. You do not have multiple machines to qualify as a gym machine ... in my opinion.
3. Resistance Fitness Training
This is what most people imagine when they think of a gym at home. Well, it is what first seemed a gym at home was before I set my mind on the subject. These days there are many types of weight training gyms that you can create at home. I immersed myself these types into 3 categories:
Lever weight training style. Training on the use of the lever-style weight equipment with arms to push, pull, lift, and squat their training rotation movements. No pulleys or cables - only the pivot arms, wherein the weight plates are placed.
Weightlifting style equipment machine. Style lifting equipment and machine uses a pulley (s) cable which lifts the weight accumulates when you make your move. Most of the weightlifting team style machine targets a specific muscle group (like most weightlifting team lever arm).
Dumbbells home gyms. Gyms are free weight bench, dumbbells and free weights. Maybe a squat and bench. It is simple, but does the job.
Whatever your practice area contains at home, if you designate as a place to lift weights, use an elliptical trainer or aerobics, a gym at home.
